The rocky island Venetiko
Venetiko Island is an uninhabited rocky Island south of Cape Akritas, the southest Mainland Point of Messinia in the southwest of Peloponnese.
- it belongs to the archipelago Messenian Oinousses
- in ancient time, it was named Theganoussa, also Tegani
- in venecian period, it was alo named Insula Venetici, San Venetico and San Nicola
- its peak is 181 m heigh
- most of Venetiko is covered with scrub
- on the westside, there are deep cliffs
- in the north, there is a navigational light.
- Venetiko is part of the village Vasilitsi and belongs to Dimos Pylos Nestoros
